Dr. H. Douglas Jin grew up in Houston, TX. He attended Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, where he graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Natural Resources. He earned his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, TX, and was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism Honor Societies. Following medical school, he completed an internship at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego, CA, and ophthalmology residency from the Dean McGee Eye Institute in Oklahoma City, OK. He obtained his subspecialty fellowship training in Vitreoretinal Diseases and Surgery at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, IA.

Dr. Jin is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and American Society of Retina Specialists.
