Karim N. Jamal, M.D. graduated from Rice University in Houston, TX with degrees in Biochemistry and Business Management. He then went to medical school at the University of Texas Southwestern, where he was elected to the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society and completed his degree in 2003.

He returned to his hometown of Binghamton, NY for internship, and went on to residency training at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH. Dr. Jamal completed his 2-year fellowship in Vitreoretinal Surgery with Texas Retina Associates in Dallas, TX in 2009. Dr. Jamal joined Retinal Consultants of Arizona in 2009.
