Dr. Brendan Girschek has over a decade of private medical and surgical retina experience and exceptional surgical skills. He is an oral examiner for the American Board of Ophthalmology, a contributing writer for the Review of Optometry and Ophthalmology Management journals, and a reviewer for the Retinal Physician Journal.
Dr. Girschek performed his ophthalmology residency at the Louisiana State University, Ochsner Clinic Foundation, his internship with the Ochsner Clinic Foundation in Internal Medicine, and his fellowship in Vitreoretinal surgery at the University of Tennessee, Charles Retina Institute.
Dr. Girschek has been Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology since 2010, became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada in 2010, and a Fellow of both the American Society of Retina Specialists and the Academy of Ophthalmology in 2011.
