Dr. Lothaire Bluth was appointed Chairman of the Board at American Vision Partners in June 2017. In this role, Dr. Bluth focuses on developing strategies to grow the organization, building and incorporating new technologies, and ensuring American Vision Partners continues to lead the industry in delivering a best-in-class patient experience.

Dr. Bluth is the founder and former President of Southwestern Eye Center, which has become one of Arizona’s largest ophthalmology practices, serving patients in many communities throughout Arizona and New Mexico. His professional memberships include the American Ophthalmological Society and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners.

Dr. Bluth completed his medical degree at the University of Arizona in Tucson and his ophthalmology residency at the Jules Stein Eye Institute at the University of California in Los Angeles. He is licensed in Arizona, California and New Mexico, and is fluent in Spanish.
